Events

Our monthly club meetings are held at 7pm on the 2nd Thursday of each month, at the Seminar room at First Church, 155 Tay St, Invercargill.

Our monthly field trips are held on the 4th Sunday of each month, from January to November.
Sometimes we run extra field trips over summer, often on the 2nd Sunday of the month.

Note: you need to be a paid-up member of our club, or any other affiliated NZ rock and mineral club, to be able to attend our field trips.
Members may bring their children on most* of our field trips.

Our field trips usually start by meeting up at the car park by the Burt Munro Memorial Sculpture in Queens Gardens by 8:50am for a 9am departure on the Sunday. However, some trips may have varying departure times, due to tides etc.

Also, each year we aim to hold a multi-day out of town field trip over the Easter weekend.

* Some of our field trips may be not suitable/safe for children or others with limited abilities, in which case we would advise members in advance.
